Ectaco SpeechGuard® Assists Military Linguists
The Defense Language Institute’s Foreign Language Training Center utilizes SpeechGuard® to supplement their student’s formal language instruction.

The new models come equipped with the GPS receiver which simply clips on to the translator and records its own position, time, date, speed, heading and altitude so you never lose your way. Also included is a handheld scanner which lets you scan any printed text off any paper surface which you can then upload to the translator in order to get the translation in a target language.
